I was born in 1965 in Cape Town, South Africa, and grew up in the northern part of this beautiful country surrounded by the African bush. From an early age I understood the value of preserving the amazing diversity of the world around me and it also inspired me to capture my views in the paintings I create.

I have always loved art, from an early age right through my school days to Art College,where I majored in Graphic Design with Fine Arts and Photography.

I love being in nature and, from working as a Tourist Guide as well, I am exposed to many amazingly diverse places. I enjoy capturing these places in my artwork and try to challenge myself to recreate the passion I have for the people and wildlife of Africa with every brush or palette knife stroke.

Working with acrylics is one of my favorite mediums to use, as you have to work quickly and accurately before the paint dries. I also enjoy the richness of oil paints and the softness of water colours as other mediums too.

In 2022 I had my first solo art exhibition in South Africa and in December 2023 I had the wonderful opportunity to have a solo art exhibition in Hong Kong. I have had the privilege of painting numerous artworks throughout the years for various patrons.

My message I always try to convey is that there is beauty and wonder in every living creature and that we should all view the world through the eyes of artists.
